CSS462: Criminology II
Welcome to CSS 462: Criminology II This course is a three-credit unit course for undergraduate students in Criminology and Security Studies. The materials have been developed to extensively cover every important issue in criminology. It is a broad area of study. This course guide gives you an overview of the course. It also provides you with information on the organization and requirements of the course.
On completion of the course, you should be able to:
(a) Define what crime, criminology, and criminal law is.
(b) Discuss the trends and patterns in crime rates.
(c) Know the various crimes prevention techniques
(d) Know how criminologists study crime
(e) Know how to evaluate crime data for the purpose of measuring crime.
(f) Explain the various theories of crime causation
